Happy Father's Day!

Sometimes, we forget to hug our Dads and kiss them and tell them that we love them like we do to our mothers. We look at them as the provider for the family and how hard they are emotionally.

Sometimes, by the time when we realize how much he has sacrificed for us and how often he has stood up against the hard blows of life, it is too late.

Now, is the time to show your Dad how much you love and respect him and how much you care for him. There may be a special father in your life whether it is your dad, your grandfather, the father of your children or grandchildren, or a special friend you would honor on Father's Day... go greet them!

To my father... thank you for being our strength, we love you so much!

hello... glad to be back cyempre with my new layout again and again! well, here's an entry which will surely make you realize how important mothers are, women in general!

Why Women Cry...

A little boy asked his mother, Why are you Crying? Because I'm a woman, she told him. I don't understand, he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, Why does Mother seem to cry for no reason? All women cry for no reason, was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked... "God, why do women cry so easily? "

God said:
When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, Yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure child birth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect her heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart -- the place where love resides."

Waiting Game

Can't believe how quickly the time flew by? It seems that these last few weeks feel longer than the last nine months. I'm on my 37th week and is now considered full term - meaning my baby is ready to handle life outside the womb. The next couple of weeks are a waiting game, whoa ... mixed emotions ... bit scary for that so called "labor" and so much excited. This is my last day at work, the next few weeks will be my time to prepare for my baby's room, prepare things to bring in the hospital as well as preparing myself for the big day!

How my life's changing: Its harder than ever to get comfortable enough to sleep well at night. I keep on monitoring my baby's movements, though he's crowded, he's still active. Swelling of feet is normal but in my case its not visible because of my daily exercise ... walking!

A Soulful Relationship

Oh well, its Monday once again... weekend's over! Same old daily routine; wake up at 5am, cyempre always late ano bang bago log-in time 6:15am, take my breakfast, go to the CR once in a while, browse/read emails the whole day, workload??? Nnnahhh! that's the worst part of it... for some employee it's good to have less workload but for us ... a big "NO" it's an honest answer for me, hirap ata mag panggap!

Have read all the emails in my Inbox and this caught my attention. If you're not married yet, share this with a friend. If you are married, share it with your spouse or other married couples and reflect on it.

A SOULFUL RELATIONSHIP

An African proverb states, "Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one eye."

Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open, and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults isn't really important.

Once you decide to commit to someone, over time his or her flaws, vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious. If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve, you've got to learn to close one eye and not let every little thing bother you. You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths. You are two unique individual children of God who have decided to share a life together.

Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other? Do you bring out the best in each other?

Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete, compare, and control? What do you bring to the relationship? Do you bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain? You can't take someone to the altar to alter him or her. You can't make someone love you or make someone stay.

If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment, and "a life", you won't find yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for your pain.

Manipulation, control, jealousy, neediness, and selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving, healthy, loving and lasting relationship! Seeking status, sex, wealth, and security are the wrong reasons to be in a relationship. What keeps a relationship strong?

Communication, intimacy, trust, a sense of humor, sharing household tasks, some getaway time without business or children and daily exchanges (a meal, shared activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note).

Leave a nice message on the voicemail or send a nice email.

Sharing common goals and interests. Growth is important. Grow together, not away from each other, giving each other space to grow without feeling insecure. Allow your mate to have outside interest. You can't always be together. Give each other a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment. Don't try to control one another. Learn each other's family situation. Respect his or her parents regardless.

Don't put pressure on each other for material goods. Remember for richer or for poorer. If these qualities are missing, the relationship will erode as resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty, and pain replace the passion.

The difference between 'United' and 'Untied' is where you put the 'i'.

Preface

Finally, it's almost done. After months & months of preparing, thinking of its layout (di pa nga furnish change layout ulit... drafts d2, measure-measure, what stuff do I have to include... whew, so many ideas on my mind), tapos ito lang pala ang outcome (ay ka-inis!). At least mejo tapos na diba?!

New Chapter

Destiny... only fate can tell!!! January 5, 2004 - God give us an important gift, a gift that will bring us closer together... an angel, a blessing and a love... our baby!!! At first, I felt confused cyempre... it's not just the thought of bearing a child and all the problems that comes with it but a total responsibility! Fortunately, I have my friends with me all along, a very understanding family & a supportive father of my child. From then on, my baby became my inspiration, my strength, my priority, my love & my life... a wonderful feeling!!! I was made complete, I am now fulfilled! : )

Now, I'm into a new chapter of my life... I'm on my 7th month with a very active baby boy! Usually, they mistakenly think that it'll be a baby girl because I'm too pretty (kapal! bagay daw sa akin magbuntis)... glad I didn't have this dilemmas (nausea/morning sickness) during my pregnancy, my baby is so mabait! Two months from now, he's ready to see the world, he's coming out to bring us laughter & we're really excited... we're into that stage of preparing all the stuff my baby will be needing & its fun. He's so makulit & I think he'll be very friendly... he kicks & kicks & rolls! Soon, you'll see him cyempre with his own website... - ABANGAN! ; )
